Marker Safety Features

BIOMETRIC PROGRAMMED UPWARD RELEASE

No other binding has a feature that works like Biometric. During a backward twisting fall, release is all but certain after 4 to 5 millimeters of lateral movement. The Biometric Channels unalign, immediately reducing the upward release force by 25 to 50%, depending on the skier's individual release force setting. This reduces the force on the skier before the boot exits the system.

"During-the-fall- moment" release force can be reduced 25 to 50% during backward twisting falls.

During a backward twisting fall release is all but certain after 4 to 5 millimeters of lateral movement. When the Biometric Channels travel to the unaligned position, 25 to 50% of the release force is immediately reduced - depending on the skiers individual release force setting - before the skier's boot exits the system.

INTEGRATED STAINLESS STEEL GLIDING AFD

Unlike plastic or Teflon, the performance of Marker's Integrated Stainless Steel AFD is virtually unaffected by dirty or worn boot soles, negative sliding friction, outdoor temperature variations, combined-load backward-twisting falls, or the downward weight of the skier on the AFD.

OPERATING TOE CUPS COMSHOCK PISTON

Marker's unique Total Contact Design allows the toe cups and AFD to work together to respond to the complex dynamics of backward-twisting or forward- twisting combined-load falls. When the Mechanical Toe Cups open, the remaining binding force drops instantly, allowing the boot to exit the system immediately.

EPS (EDGE PRESSURE SYSTEM)

Distributes Pressure To The Ski. Directing the energy out over the edge of the ski, EPS distributes the pressure to the ski in a more even force between the toe and heel. The result is cleaner carving, better edgehold, improved stability and ski control.

TWINCAM HEEL TITANIUM REDUCES WEIGHT

The two-piece Twincam Heel is designed with a unique soft-entry feature, resulting in a quick and easy step-in system even in difficult snow conditions.

TITANIUM REDUCES WEIGHT

Lightweight and super-strong, Titanium adds a level of performance not found in other bindings. Skiers can feel the responsiveness.

Marker Integrated Binding Sytems

PERFORMANCE IN MOTION

Motion, an innovation in partnership between Marker and Völkl. The Motion interface ski features rail technology integrated into the construction of the ski. The binding and interface slide onto the rails in the ski. This design allows for free and complete flex of the ski throughout the turn. Skiers experience improved performance with maximum maneuverability and versatility on all terrain.

ENHANCED CONTROL AND PERFORMANCE

Go To K2 Skis
The all new innovative Marker / K2 collaboration has produced the IBX Piston and IBX System. The IBX interface is designed to provide smoother overall ski flex for enhanced control and performance. The IBX Piston incorporates Marker’s innovative hydraulic oil piston into the front of the interface. Engineered as a complete systems solution, IBX offers state-of-the-art technology.

PERFECT BALANCE
Go To Nordica Skis

The new X-Balance interfaces greatly improve pressure distribution from boot to ski. This makes the new Nordica Speedmachine and SUV series skis easier and more fun to ski. X-Balance is completely free gliding, and allows the skier to change their mounting point fore and aft on the ski while staying perfectly balanced over their chosen mounting point. X-Balance delivers improved performance and all mountain versatility for every level skier.
