The 'Jack of All Trade Skis'. These probably won't win you a
world cup race, nor will they be particuarly suited to skiing
3 feet of fresh light, dry powder, but they will perform well
in everything in the middle - including most Australian conditions!
They have a wider waist than a carve ski, but are not quite as
wide as a true freeride ski, with a radius somewhere in the middle
of the two. They're easy to handle off piste, but still provide
good performance on the groomers. No wonder why this is the most
popular category of ski sold in Australia. This type of ski may
be suitable for aspring intermediates through to expert skiers.
