Carve
Collection
Shaped skis have given rise to a new style of skiing compared
to the traditional striaght skis - a smoother, more fluid style
known as 'carving'. If you spend a majority of your time on groomed
runs making nice turns from edge to edge and laying tracks in,
you're probably wanting a 'carve' ski. They tend to be skied
shorter, have a narrower waist and a fatter tip & tail. All
this leads to one thing - an increase abilty to quickly move
from edge to edge, whilst holding that edge on the snow to carve
a smooth turn. Look up and see those 'rail-road tracks' being
left behind you!
There are skis in this category that are suited to skiers who
consider themselves intermediates all the way through to those
experts out there amongst you.
